Attention: ALL AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND EVE PILOTS!
We are pleased to announce the biggest EVE-Online event to be held in the southern hemisphere EVER!
Dates: Friday 23, Saturday 24, and Sunday 25 November 2012
Venue: Rydges World Square, 389 Pitt St, Sydney, Australia.
Having attended EVE Fanfest in Iceland for the past two years, we decided it was time to capture a little of the magic, bring it home to OZ, and provide an opportunity for those who cannot make the long journey to the other side of the world to meet with fellow EVE gamers.
BTW, you may not have realised, but if you drilled a hole through the centre of the earth from Iceland, you would end up just south of New Zealand!.
The goal of this event is to provide a great opportunity to meet with your AU time zone allies and adversaries, along with hearing great presentations from leaders of top AU timezone corporations / alliances.
Confirmed speakers include: Dark Razer (Van DiemenGÇÖs Demise / NCdot), Rooman (ANZAC Alliance, Executive Outcome), and Wusti (The New Era / Convicted).
In addition to presentations, we will provide a demonstration of DUST 514, and with a bit of luck do a live demonstration of EVE/DUST integration. Orbital strike from your Revelation anyone?
You will also have the opportunity to talk to EVE players from around the country at the reception on Friday night (23 Nov), where we are putting on FREE beers!
After the Saturday conference; the dinner / pub crawl around the Sydney will also give you the opportunity to chat to fellow EVE players in the great social environment of Sydney in summer.
On Sunday 25 Nov, for those who are not flying home to various parts of the country, we are planning a slightly less formal EVE LAN event (cos we know what Saturday night parties can do), including providing an opportunity to try out DUST 514.

... if you would like to stay at "party central" for this event... we now have a Corporate Id for accommodation bookings made at the Rydges World Square Hotel web site

Enter "EVE012" into the Corporate ID field of the "Make A Booking" section, and various options/rates will be displayed.

I know a lot of AUTZ players are getting very excited about the opportunity to meet. Interestingly, not only from AU/NZ but we also have people coming from as far away as Korea!
Definately shaping up to be the biggest EVE event held in this part of the world ... EVER!

Big thank you to CCP Guard for organising login screen promo, and everything else he is doing to help make this a great event.
Did a site visit to the venue today..things are coming together nicely... and know lots of Aussie EVE gamers getting very excited about this AUTZ event!
We would love for you to join us too ...it is going to be a blast :)

OK, Aussie EVE gamers, today is it..... if you are Sydney based, head down to the Rydges World Square hotel, we would love to see you (you can pay at the door).
Had a great reception function last night with over 130 Aussie EVE gamer assembled from around Australia with more due to turn up today.

Thanks for making the effort to come across from NZ, and glad you had fun.
I have yet to hear any major complains, so I guess we did OK. :)
A big thank-you to CCP Fozzie, CCP Dolan, and CCP Navigator for staying up late on a Friday night in Iceland for an hour long video call to a bunch of Aussie EVE gamers... we really appreciated the time you gave us.
Also thanks to CCP Guard for your support.
